Rayna Megli - Maid of Honor
Rayna is Kyra’s partner in crime, together, they’re truly unstoppable (especially when they hit up a Dollarama or Michael’s… scary!). As Kyra’s cousin, Rayna has been by her side since the very beginning, through every laugh, adventure, and late-night craft idea. On her wedding day, Kyra couldn’t imagine having anyone else standing beside her, because some bonds are simply unbreakable.
Kylie Cunningham - Sister of Honor
Kylie is Kyra’s older sister and forever partner in all things spooky and sentimental. Together, they share a love for sappy movies and late-night Ghost Adventures marathons. When they were younger, they even “claimed” their Ghost Adventures boyfriends though life took a fun turn, because Kylie is now happily married to a man not named Zak Bagans, and Kyra is definitely not marrying a bald man named Aaron Goodwin. From laughter to ghost hunts, Kylie has always been by Kyra’s side and there’s no one else she’d rather have standing beside her on her wedding day.
Jean-Jo Galandy - Bridesmaid
Jean-Jo and Kyra first met while studying Child and Youth Studies at Lethbridge College. Funny enough, they didn’t really start talking until they both began working at the Boys and Girls Club when Kyra, being her usual quirky self, started telling Jean about her “tornado adventure.” Instead of getting weirded out, Jean wanted to hear more, and from that moment on, they became inseparable.
Even though Jean later moved to Edmonton to be closer to family and finish her studies, their bond has never wavered. No matter the distance, they always find ways to stay connected, proving that true friendship doesn’t depend on how often you see each other, just how deeply you care.
Madison Lizee - Bridesmaid
Madison came into Kyra’s life when she started dating Kyra’s younger brother and from that moment, it felt like she’d always been part of the family. The two instantly clicked, bonding over their shared love of water (and their now-iconic “swim dance” from one unforgettable summer). Whether they’re watching trashy reality TV or spending hours chatting about absolutely everything, Madison and Kyra’s friendship is full of laughter, inside jokes, and sisterly love. Kyra couldn’t imagine her wedding day without her bonus sister by her side.
Conner Schiissler - Best Man
Conner and Jayden met during their first year of college and immediately bonded over questionable life choices and a shared love of horror games. What started as late nights and bad decisions quickly turned into a friendship forged through stress, laughter, and a mutual talent for pushing things just a little too far. Together, they survived school (barely) while somehow managing to collect more noise complaints than degrees.
Through all the chaos, Conner became a constant in Jayden’s life: the friend who showed up, stayed up, and stuck around no matter how loud things got. After years of shared memories, inside jokes, and surviving college side by side, Jayden couldn’t imagine anyone else standing with him on his big day.
Neil Schoeman - Groomsman
Neil and Jayden’s friendship began in their first year of college and has been fueled ever since by a shared love of sumo wrestling and adventurous eating. What started as casual conversations quickly turned into an ongoing quest to try new foods, push culinary boundaries, and confidently make questionable dining decisions together.
Neil is always willing to join Jayden on adventures around Calgary, whether that means tracking down a new restaurant or exploring something unexpected. Whether they’re sampling new food or passionately debating who would win between two sumo legends, their friendship is always full of laughter, full plates, and strong opinions. Built on curiosity, enthusiasm, and a shared love of adventure, their bond continues to thrive proving that the best friendships are made with someone who’s always ready to say yes to the next idea.
Daniel Bischke - Groomsman
Daniel is Jayden’s younger but annoyingly taller brother. Growing up, the two could usually be found locked in epic foam sword battles or fiercely competitive Pokémon showdowns, each fully convinced of their own superiority. Whether they were arguing over rules, keeping score far too seriously, or refusing to admit defeat, their days were filled with the kind of chaos only brothers can create.
While the foam swords have long since been retired and the Pokémon battles no longer take place on the living room floor, the spirit of that sibling rivalry lives on. The competition has simply evolved into sharp banter, unwavering opinions, and a mutual judgment that remains as strong as ever. Beneath all of it, though, is the kind of bond that only brothers share, built on years of shared memories, constant challenges, and a loyalty that never truly fades.
Willem Van Der Kuil - Groomsman
Willem, brother of the bride, spent years forcing Jayden into endless games of NBA 2K. What began as being “forced” into video games together has evolved into a genuine friendship built on good-natured trash talk and shared experiments in smoked meats.
Without having any brothers of his own, Willem found in Jayden someone to feud with, (Kyra caught a break) compete against, and play alongside like a brother. And in return, Jayden gained something just as meaningful, another brother. Their relationship grew through endless rematches, relentless trash talk, and the unspoken agreement that no game ever truly ended on the first loss. What started as playful rivalry turned into trust, laughter, and a bond that feels less like in-laws and more like family, proving that sometimes brothers aren’t born, they’re earned.
